Body measurements are taken directly on your body and help you determine your basic Atelier 3K size.

Our size chart
At Atelier 3K we work with sizes 1, 2 and 3 as well as selected one-size knitpieces. Rather than mapping our sizes rigidly to XS, S, M or L, we orient ourselves around body measurements, material stretch and the intended fit of each piece.
Use your body measurements as a first guide and always consider the individual fit recommendation as well as the product measurements of each knitpiece.
1, 2, 3 and One Size explained
Because knit adapts to the body, our size ranges may intentionally overlap depending on material, cut and desired fit.
- Size 1
- approx. 34–36
- Size 1 roughly corresponds to conventional sizes 34–36 and, for close-fitting knitpieces, matches our intended body-hugging fit.
- Size 2
- approx. 38–40
- Size 2 roughly corresponds to sizes 38–40. Depending on the knitpiece and desired fit, it can also work if you usually wear size 36 — for example when you prefer a slightly looser feel.
- Size 3
- approx. 42–44
- Size 3 extends our sizing system for larger body measurements. You will find the exact body measurement ranges in our size chart.
- One Size
- One size
- We use One Size only for knitpieces whose cut and construction are deliberately developed for different body shapes and proportions. One Size does not mean that a piece automatically fits every body. For each product you will find exact product measurements and details about the models shown.
How to measure your body
Flat and close to the body
Measure yourself in underwear or close-fitting clothing. The tape should lie flat against your body without pulling tight or digging in.
Where do I measure what?
Product measurements
Product measurements describe the actual dimensions of the finished knitpiece. Depending on cut, knit structure and desired fit, they may be smaller or larger than your body measurements. A close-fitting, stretchy knitpiece can be narrower than your body circumference when unstretched and still fit correctly.

Find your fit
The right size depends not only on your body measurements but also on how a knitpiece should sit. Each product page therefore includes an individual fit description.
Choose silhouette
Close-fitting fit
The knitpiece sits close to the shoulders, bust and waist and follows the natural contours of a feminine silhouette.
The knitpiece sits close to the shoulders, chest and upper body and follows the natural body shape of a man.
Regular fit
The knitpiece follows the body shape without fitting tightly and offers light freedom of movement.
Oversized fit
The knitpiece is deliberately cut wider and falls loosely on the body.
Between two sizes?
If you are between two sizes, orient yourself around the desired fit: choose the smaller size for a closer fit or the larger size for a little more ease. Always also consider the individual size recommendation for each knitpiece.
